Animated Realities - Short Documentaries

Festival
PÖFF Shorts 2021
Programme
Doc@Shorts

Are you just as tired of the corona talk as we are? Well, enter the cinema and join us in an escape to the animated reality of this year’s documentaries. We will avoid the (post)pandemic small talk altogether and instead we will revisit themes that have been pushed aside. The queer, the grieving, the disavantaged, the colonized and the industrialized will be given a voice. Both stories of the past and those talking of the present will make appearances on the big screen. Now that we’re vaccinated it’s time to shift the reflectors and shine the light on the forgotten issues around us. Come weep, rage, listen and rethink the reality with us.

Based on the research, interviews and records of the three conditions of Congenital Insensitivity to Pain, Chondropathy, Marfan syndrome, I made these three personal pseudo-documentary animations. "He She He" not only represent the three of them, but also represent all of us who are neglected and need to establish emotional connections around us.
