This year’s Late Night Love is definitely late night as our offerings tend to focus on the more – let’s be coy here – physical manifestation of love. Of course it would be gauche of us just to serve up a non-stop orgy of sweaty bodies doing naughty things – that is why the internet was invented. But the films here do remind us emotion goes hand in hand with physicality and – even in an era where physical contact seems anathema – sex still makes the world go round.

There is intense and emotional drama which reflects passion and eroticism amongst the pain of loss. There are more light hearted affairs which reminds us that sex can also be completely ridiculous - especially if it’s done right. And there are reflections of time lost and desire regained.

So let’s sit in the dark and remind ourselves that – while zoom calls have their place – getting physical is still one whole hell of a lot of fun.
