While Estonian animation is very well known on red carpets all around the world, unfortunately, that's not the case here in Estonia. That’s why it brings us such joy that sometimes someone asks the right questions at the right time, and as a result we are able to see almost all short animations that have been made this year in Estonia. It is a colourful selection, each film in it completely unique. There are also foreign names amongst us: it happens now and again that some Estonian Academy of Arts Animation MA programme graduates never want to leave our friendly anima family or they just keep coming back. We all have difficult and long roads to walk. So do our characters. Whatever you are working with – porcelain, pixels, classic animation puppets, plasticine, sand, lines, real filmmakers – all of us have an animus, a soul that carries us through it all. Through tough times, absurd, challenges, magic, doubts and humour. On and on. Enjoy the journey!

In our film two babies are about to be born. One of them is bound to be a regular kid. The other is destined to be a trickster. There's the rub - how to determine which is which, since the birth of identical twins in itself is a trick performed by Nature!
Nobody is aware of what is about to happen next - the existing of life have unanimously been abolished. The new ones are yet to be established.

A wintery poem of the Nordic nature. The sun moves low above the horizon, the days are getting shorter and shorter. The birds fly to the South, the porcelain animals and insects hide from the freezing wind and snow. Only a small porcelain girl wandering along the abandoned landscape doesn't seem to have a way out.
