A total of 14 short films and animations will be screened in the 2024 edition of REBELS WITH THEIR SHORTS.

• Pahriya Ghalip's 阿达 (China, 2023), about two Uyghur girls trying to make it in Beijing in their fantasy world, will have its world premiere.
• The international premiere of the Ukrainian film ADDITIONAL SCENES (dir. Roman Khimei, Yarema Malashchuk), in which a married couple argue about pillows and making war films.
• PÖFF Shorts sees the return of Maxime-Claude L'Écuyer with DINOSAURIA, WE and Sion Thomas with MAULED BY A DOG.

"These more experimental short films take a closer look at the tensions of the contemporary world, as well as the specific mechanisms of film and filmmaking," the programmers summed up.
