PÖFF Shorts has unveiled the titles which will be a part of its six competitions, with a total of 131 films will screen across the festival running from 15 to 23 November.

The PÖFF Shorts Live Action section with 48 films will give audiences the chance to see brand new work alongside films that have already won plaudits on the circuit across two competitions including New Talents. In the PÖFF Shorts Animation Competition, 54 films showcasing an eclectic range of styles and techniques will be screened, with 16 animated films vying for the Jury Prize for Best Children’s Film.

The PÖFF Shorts National Competition will see the world premieres of 7 new Estonian films and co-productions, with a total of 29 films in the programme.

The three juries of the PÖFF Shorts competition consists of animation directors Joanna Quinn (UK), Diana Cam Van Nguyen (Czechia) and Jonas Taul (Estonia), programmer and film critic Niels Putman (Belgium), producer and programmer Mariam Kandelaki (Germany, Georgia), Radiator IP Sales founder Ben Vandendaele (Belgium), director Garðar Þór Þorkelsson (Iceland), actress Tiina Tauraite (Estonia) and musician Kirke Karja (Estonia),

The festival’s full side programme will be announced on November 4, 2022. PÖFF Shorts will take place from November 15-23 in Tallinn and Tartu, Estonia.
