The 5th edition of PÖFF Shorts will showcase over 370 short films and animations.
While last year PÖFF Shorts hosted two international guests, this year a record is broken with 212 film guests, 80 of whom will join the festival virtually.
There are 43 world premieres on the program, 16 of them international.
„With every year more and more films are entered for Shorts and we are very fortunate to be able to share them with the local audience during these times. Due to restrictions we will soon also return to the web cinema so that more interested people could take part,“ says the head of PÖFF Shorts, Grete Nellis.
The festival accredited by the American Academy of Motion Picture arts and Sciences and the European Film Academy consists of three competition programs and a side programs that showcase documentaries, animations, and live-action films that are up to 40 minutes long. These include prized author cinema, dance films, horror and fantasy, as well as family animations.
